Certified Forensic Accountant (CFA) Programme
The assessment structure for the Certified Forensic Accountant (CFA) programme is designed to evaluate students’ theoretical understanding, analytical competence, investigative ability, research capacity, and practical application of forensic accounting principles.
The programme combines continuous online assessment with comprehensive research-based take-home assessments to ensure students develop professional competence and practical industry skills required in forensic accounting and financial investigations.
The Continuous Assessment component constitutes 20% of the overall assessment and is conducted online throughout the study period.
Each course contains forty (40) multiple-choice questions carefully designed to assess students’ understanding of:
- Core forensic accounting concepts
- Professional standards and ethics
- Financial regulations and compliance
- Auditing and investigative procedures
- Professional and practical applications
This component ensures students maintain consistent academic engagement and continuous learning throughout the programme.
The Essay-Type Assessment constitutes 80% of the total assessment and focuses on research-based practical evaluation.
Students are required to undertake take-home assessments involving:
- Case study analysis
- Critical evaluation and reasoning
- Problem-solving and investigative techniques
- Application of forensic accounting principles
- Cyber security and digital forensic investigations
- Auditing, taxation, and fraud detection practices
Candidates are provided with a specified submission period ranging from days to weeks, depending on the course and level of assessment.

Progression, Promotion & Graduation
Students enrolled in the Certified Forensic Accountant (CFA) programme must successfully complete all prescribed courses and assessments at each level before progressing to the next stage of the programme.
Level I → Level II
Students must obtain a minimum pass mark of 60% in each course to qualify for progression.
Level II → Level III
Candidates are required to achieve a minimum score of 60% in all courses before promotion.
Professional Certification
Students must obtain a minimum pass mark of 60% in all Professional Level courses to qualify for graduation as a Certified Forensic Accountant (CFA).
